GROUNDED GUIDANCE: TRUST IN FEELINGS

Let’s continue building your sixth sense. When we navigate the spiritual realm, we must always be aware of how we are progressing and how our emotional body is relating to the inner changes that occur on deeper levels of consciousness. We spend a lot of our life just thinking.

Let’s continue building your sixth sense. When we navigate the spiritual realm, we must always be aware of how we are progressing and how our emotional body is relating to the inner changes that occur on deeper levels of consciousness. We spend a lot of our life just thinking. Every time we face a problem that needs solving or must make a choice, we go straight to our mind to weigh the pros and cons and think about the ins and outs. Just like how our body gets stronger when we work out, our sixth sense gets stronger and stronger with use.

Imagine if you decided to go to the gym and work on just one body part while neglecting the other parts of your body. You would seem out of balance in many ways. You would definitely feel the difference and know that you are strong in one area and weak in another, although friends and loved ones may not know anything is off-kilter for you. But take note—your spirit notices everything and realizes when you are slacking off, especially when you’re only focusing on 20 percent of yourself. What about all the other aspects?

This is why so many people get confused, lost and disconnected from their truth. That’s why many scientists report that we are accessing only a small percentage of our intelligence. So when we choose to exercise only our mind and leave out our other senses, we find ourselves in a trap—a merry-go -round of daily life—and then spend so much brain power just trying to get off and stop the madness.

Your mind was not meant to deal with everything—it needs the other parts of your entity to achieve goals and solve problems. Specifically, your emotions are integral to helping your mind go beyond its constructs, to see past limitations. The emotions are not trapped in your architecture; they are actually outside of it and receive input from energies the mind can’t experience.

Your mind is conditioned in your beliefs, ideas and whatever you were taught since childhood. It has created programs and defenses to deal with the world in the only way it knows how to survive. Your mind pulls its facts from past choices and reactions, but it can only gather intel from your memories and mental stimuli, whereas the emotions feel it as it is. Here’s the catch—we have no infrastructure in place for us to honor those feelings, and therefore, we rely on our minds to dig us out of a jam.

Tuning out your emotions during these times actually makes you numb and dumb. You’re dumbing yourself down because you’re not using your whole being for support. Did you know that the emotions can sense beyond limitations and barriers? Think of how much stronger and wiser you would be if you acted as a team player with your soul? Oh yes, it’s quite amazing.

I will say this—it will take practice and love to build. It’s like going to a gym when you haven’t been in years—you will feel some resistance and you might even get upset. Stay with it. Here’s how: when you are faced with a problem that needs solving, instead of quickly having your mind save your ass, ask yourself what you are feeling. How do you feel about blank? Trust how your feelings communicate. It will be different from how your mind shares info. It will feel awkward in the beginning, but just like working out, it will improve with time. Baby steps, my loves. Just remember to ask your feelings—that’s the first step. If you can remember to use that sense, it will surprise you.
